Why it matters
A website is not finished the day it goes live.
Every WordPress site depends on dozens of moving parts: the core software, the theme, plugins, PHP, the server and the SSL certificate. Each one updates on its own schedule, and any one of them can break a form or open a security hole.
Most sites are either never updated, which leaves them exposed, or updated blindly, which breaks things. We test every update on a staging copy, check the forms and checkout, then apply it to the live site.
Care also means improvements. Each plan includes time for content changes, and we report back each month on what was updated, what was fixed and what we recommend next.

Do you look after websites you did not build?
Yes. Most sites we care for were built by someone else. We start with a free audit, fix anything urgent, then move the site onto a plan.
How much does website maintenance cost?
Care plans start from $79 a month for a small brochure site, and from $179 a month for business sites that need daily backups, tested updates and an hour of changes each month. Stores and high-traffic sites are quoted to scope. Prices exclude GST.
Can you fix a hacked website?
Yes. We remove the malware, close the hole it came through, clean up Google warnings and spam pages, change every credential and harden the site. Recovery is quoted separately if the site is not already on a plan.
What happens if an update breaks something?
Updates are tested on a staging copy first, so problems are usually caught before they reach the live site. If anything does slip through, we roll back from the latest backup and fix it at no extra cost.
Is there a lock-in contract?
No. Plans are paid monthly by direct debit and run month to month. You can request a cancellation at any time from your client account.
What counts as a monthly change?
Content edits, new images, a new page from an existing template, form tweaks and small layout fixes. Larger work is quoted separately before it starts.
Do you maintain Shopify stores?
Yes. Shopify handles the hosting and core updates, so Shopify care focuses on apps, theme updates, speed, product and content changes, and checking the checkout.
Is hosting included?
We can manage your existing hosting or move the site to faster hosting in your name. Hosting is quoted separately so you always own the account.
